Bonjour, my name is Lydie

My name is Lydie.  I am an enthusiastic and devoted French teacher with excellent communication skills demonstrated by 23 years of teaching experience.   

 

I have been very successful at teaching hundreds of students of various ages and levels of proficiency.  Currently, I am giving private and online lessons to 43 students on weekly basis.  Many of my students have been with me for about a year or longer.  They are learning fast while having fun at the same time. They are extremely satisfied because they are getting top-notch tutoring for a very reasonable fee.

I was born and raised in Normandie, a north western region of France.  I graduated from Universite de Caen Normandie in Adult Vocational Training.  I spent 14 years teaching French to foreign students and 6 years as an educator at the French school for children with disabilities and violent disorders.  I also spent a year as a teacher at a French immersion school in Austin, Texas.  Currently I am teaching at the Austin International School.

I love my French culture, arts and literature. I enjoy reading classical novels especially by Zola, Balzac and Maupassant.  I am passionate about sharing the very best of my culture with other people around the world.  That is why I am such a passionate French language teacher.  My work and life experiences have taught me not only to be an effective teacher, but also to be compassionate and caring individual who can see potentials in every one of my students.
